Resources for Academic Advisors
As an academic advisor, you serve as a mentor to your students.
We appreciate your important role, and hope that you will help
students plan for their career goals as well as their academic
endeavors.
Here are some simple ways you can encourage your students:
- Use the Four-Year
Plan to ensure that they are on-track for both academic and
post-graduation success.
- Suggest scheduling an appointment with a Career Advisor by
stopping by the Career Center or calling 935-5930.
- Tell them to check out our Calendar of Events to sign up for
skill-building workshops and special events.
- Emphasize the importance of internships! We encourage every
student to complete at least one internship before they graduate.
- Introduce them to The Career Center’s Services & Resources.
