St. Louis Life Sciences Bear TrekWould you like to explore scientific research careers in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries? Apply for this experiential opportunity, which will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025 from approximately 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM. (exact timing will be shared closer to event date) You’ll visit two employers in Chesterfield, MO (~15 miles west of WashU):• Pfizer – an innovative biopharmaceutical company 150+ years old that collaborates with health care providers, governments and local communities to support and expand access to reliable, affordable health care around the world to bring therapies to people that improve their lives; these include discovery, development and manufacture of health care products, including medicines and vaccines• Bayer – a global life science company 160+ years old that focuses on both health care and agriculture; Bayer’s mission is “Health for all, Hunger for none”, and the Chesterfield, MO location (Crop Sciences North America R&D Headquarters) focuses primarily on farmers’ needs and creating innovative solutions for agriculture (seed development, crop protection, corn hybrids & software design for farming), while focusing on regenerative agriculture -farming and food production methods that aim to improve the health of the planet by restoring natureThe employer visits will include company tours and career panels, consisting of employees representing research, management and other areas.You will have the opportunity to talk with employees and ask questions. Lunch and transportation will be provided.
