The purpose of the MBTI personality inventory is to make the theory of psychological types described by C. G. Jung understandable and useful in people’s lives. The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent, based on how you prefer to use your perception and judgment. The MBTI identifies your personality and helps you discover what motivates and energizes you. There are many applications for the MBTI assessment, including career planning and identification of suitable work cultures.
