Calling all graduate students and postdocs! Do you want to pursue a tenure-track job, but the market has you feeling worried? Would you like to explore industry, nonprofit, entrepreneurship, or other paths, but not sure where to begin? These are just some scenarios we can work through together. No question is too big or too small, so please make an appointment with me today to discuss what’s possible (it’s often waaaay more than you think)!

I bring over 15 years of experience in higher education and industry to my role as a PhD/Postdoc Career Coach. I’ve worked for Apple’s education division, written proposals and RFPs for edtech SaaS solutions, and interned at the U.S. Department of State with UNESCO. I hold a B.A. in History and Sociology from the College of William and Mary, an M.A. in International Education Policy from Columbia University, and an M.A. in English and Film Studies from Case Western Reserve University. From 2011-12 I taught in Romania as a Fulbright Scholar.

At WashU, I’m a Ph.D. candidate in English and I hold a graduate certificate in the Film and Media Studies program. I’m also a graduate student affiliate at the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity and a member of the 2023 Pivot 314 cohort. In my spare time, I serve as an Associate Editor for RHINO, a poetry journal based in Chicago, and help produce the Poetry For All podcast hosted by Joanne Diaz and Abram Van Engen. My partner Michael and I make a home in the amazing Central West End neighborhood of St. Louis, where I write lots of bad poetry.

Lalo is a senior in Olin majoring in Finance with a minor in Human-Computer Interaction. This past summer, he was a Summer Associate at BCG in their Minneapolis office. His sophomore summer, he also interned at BCG through their Growing Future Leaders (GFL) diversity program. Lalo has experience in the residential real estate industry working as a Real Estate Agent for Dielmann Sotheby’s International Realty. On campus, he is involved with Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity, Olin Real Estate Club, WUSauce, and Carnaval.

MJ is a senior in Olin studying Economics & Strategy and Spanish with a minor in International Business. This past summer, he was a Product Marketing Manager Intern at Google. During his sophomore summer, he did a consulting internship at EY-Parthenon in San Francisco. On campus, he is involved in Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity, an actor in Black Anthology, on WUSacue (Salsa Dance Team), and is a Teaching Assistant for an MBA Data Strategies class.

Francisco is a senior at WashU, majoring in Economics & Strategy and English Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing, along with a minor in the Business of the Arts. During the summer of 2023, he interned at McKinsey & Co. in the Denver office, where he plans to return post-graduation. This past summer, however, he worked as a seasonal farmhand at Maple Ridge Produce in Aitkin, Minnesota. On campus, you can find Francisco leading tours at the Kemper Art Museum, TAing for MGT100, DAT220, and OB461, and working as an RA in the Lofts.

Ellie is a senior in Olin majoring in Economics & Strategy and Supply Chain, Operations, & Technology. Last summer, Ellie interned at Bain & Company in the Chicago office and plans to return upon graduation. Ellie spent her sophomore summer interning at Boeing in fighter jet procurement in the St. Louis office. On campus, Ellie is on club field hockey, in Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity, and a TA for Management 100 and MEC 290. In her free time, she enjoys making pottery, taking boxing classes, and being outside.

Saffron is a junior at WashU majoring in Finance and Healthcare Management. Other activities include the Washington University Investment Banking Association and Delta Sigma Pi. Saffron spent her sophomore summer as an intern at Browning West, an activist hedge fund. Next summer, she will be interning in New York at Goldman Sachs in their healthcare investment banking division.

Arushi is a senior at Olin majoring in Finance with a minor in Environmental Analysis. Her on-campus involvement includes Women in Finance, Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity, Arch Consulting, and TAing for a renewable energy course. After her sophomore year, Arushi interned at Washington University Investment Management Company, which manages the university’s endowment. This past summer, she was an investment banking summer analyst at Lazard, an independent investment banking and strategic advisory firm in New York City, where she will be returning full-time after graduation.

Sam is a senior studying Economics and Strategy with a double major in Film and Media Studies. At WashU, she is involved in Arch consulting, Delta Sigma Pi, and TAing for MGT 100, MEC 290, and DAT 121. This past summer she worked as an Associate Consultant intern at Bain where she will be returning full time after graduation. Prior to that, she worked at Mastercard her sophomore summer and a local museum in her hometown her freshmen summer (with some bartending on the side). In her free time, she loves to cook, read, workout, and watch Law and Order SVU.

Hi there! I’m a Business Generalist with a rich background in both Product Management and Consulting, having led diverse end-to-end projects. Currently, I proudly serve as the president of OSCA and Olin India and was honored to win the Olin Data and Values Case Competition. My journey includes stints with Kohler Co, Zinnov Management Consulting, PwC, and EY, and I have a special place in my heart for the Corporate Strategy course taught by Prof. Zhang during my MBA. Fun fact: I’m an amateur stand-up comedian and have performed at open mics in three different countries. It’s been quite a ride, blending business acumen with a touch of humor!

Hi there! I’m Arpit Arya, a 2nd-year MBA student with a diverse background that spans three continents, having previously worked with Alstom Transport on building trains globally. My focus areas include Consulting and Operations & Supply Chain Management, and I’m currently gaining valuable experience through an internship at Tesla. One of my favorite MBA courses has been Managerial Economics with Professor John Horn. Outside of my professional life, I’m passionate about exploring bookstores and savoring gelato at local shops. Fun fact: I’ve visited some of the world’s most beautiful and oldest bookstores and have even had the thrill of driving a train!

My expertise lies in synthesizing both qualitative and quantitative data to provide valuable insights that aid in decision-making. I’m passionate about leveraging education—both formal and informal—to help individuals gain exposure, achieve career goals, and enhance their lives. Currently, my focus is on Consulting and Operations & Supply Chain Management, and I’ve had the pleasure of interning at World Wide Technology in management consulting, following a stint at TotalEnergies. One of my favorite MBA courses has been Managerial Economics with Prof. John Horn. Fun fact: I used to light up the stage with performances in singing, acting, and dancing!

Hi! I am Nandini Neelayyagari, a Chartered Accountant (equivalent to CPA in the US) with a keen interest in finance, especially within the pharma industry. I recently completed a summer internship at Ecolab Inc., where I focused on capital allocation strategies. Before that, I spent 8 years at Deloitte in Hyderabad, specializing in indirect tax consulting. My favorite MBA course has been “Intro to Entrepreneurship” because it sparked my love for creative problem-solving in business.

Fun fact: I’m a big coffee enthusiast who firmly believes that a good brew can tackle almost any challenge! In my free time, I enjoy traveling, practicing yoga, and socializing with friends.

Hello, I’m Felipe! I have a strong focus on finance and ESG, currently interning at Edward Jones. My professional journey includes valuable experience with Major League Baseball, Greensill Capital, and Donyati Consulting. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed courses like ESG Investing with Michael Alderson and Macroeconomics with John Horn during my MBA. Fun fact: I’ve had the incredible experience of stepping onto glaciers in both the northern hemisphere (Iceland) and the southern hemisphere (Chile).
